This was a solid buy for the price. Stuff like this is usually way more expensive for no reason, but this one does what it’s supposed to and I’ve got no complaints

I bought a Nextbase dash cam a few months ago and, to be fair, the build quality does feel really solid. It doesn’t come across as cheap or plasticky, the buttons have a nice firm feel, and the mount has stayed put even on rougher roads. It’s also been through hot and cold weather and still looks basically new. That said, I did expect to feel a bit more impressed with it overall, so I’m slightly disappointed. It’s decent, just not quite as great as I hoped.

The video looks okay, but the sound is not really good. Voices come out kinda muffled and tinny, so it’s hard to enjoy.

I got my Nextbase mostly for the GPS, and it’s been spot on up to now. The speed shows correctly, routes look right, and even on the smaller roads around where I live it hasn’t seemed to miss a beat. I haven’t had to fiddle with anything either, which is nice. It just works, and that’s pretty much what I wanted

The app worked better than I expected. It connected to my dash cam right away with no hassle, and the videos loaded on my phone without any issues. Straightforward experience overall.

The delivery took longer than they said it would, which was annoying, and then returning it ended up being more of a faff than expected. I had to chase up emails, wait around for updates, and the refund took a while too. The product itself was fine, to be fair, but the service just felt slow, and a bit messy overall...

The video looks clear enough for everyday use. Compared to a few others I’ve tried, the daytime picture is definitely solid, and the night view is okay too—not amazing, but good enough to see what’s going on

Got it sorted the same day, so annoyingly, I have nothing to complain about.

The dash cam is actually fine when I’m driving, and at first I thought it was a solid buy, but the parking mode has been a letdown. It’s missed a few knocks and sometimes it doesn’t seem to wake up at all. For the price, I expected it to be better. It’s not terrible overall, but yeah, annoying.
